Joanna is a qualified Solicitor with over 19 years’ of legal experience. Joanna advises individuals and families on a wide range of private client matters. She qualified as a Solicitor in January 2009 and has developed a strong and trusted practice supporting clients at important and often sensitive stages of their lives.

In 2020, Joanna completed the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Diploma, a globally recognised qualification which demonstrates advanced knowledge in trusts and estates. In 2025 Joanna successfully completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in Cross-Border Estates.

Joanna advises private clients on a comprehensive range of matters such as Wills, Probate (including where estates have international elements or where assets and beneficiaries are located in different jurisdictions), Trusts and Court of Protection applications. She works closely with her clients to understand their personal, family and financial circumstances, ensuring her advice is practical, tailored and forward‑thinking.

Joanna is also a full member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers. This reflects Joanna’s particular experience in advising older clients and vulnerable individuals, including those who may require additional support or safeguards when making important legal and financial decisions.

Her areas of work include:

  • Drafting simple Wills as well as more complex Wills incorporating Discretionary Trusts
  • Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Attorney
  • Administering estates and guiding families through the Probate process, including estates with cross‑border and international aspects
  • Advising on the creation and administration of Trusts, and the preparation of supplementary trust documents
  • Advising Executors, Trustees and Beneficiaries on their rights, duties and obligations in relation to trusts and estates
  • Making applications to the Court of Protection, including Property and Financial Affairs Deputyships, Personal Welfare Deputyships, and applications relating to gifting or statutory Wills

Joanna is known for her calm, compassionate and approachable manner. She takes pride in building strong, long‑term relationships with her clients and providing a personable service that combines clear legal advice with empathy and understanding.

Joanna is based primarily in our Marlow office but also frequently attends our London office. Joanna also carries out home visits in Marlow, Henley-on-Thames, High Wycombe, Ruislip, Northwood, Pinner and the surrounding areas.
