Anna was a divisional editor of Butterworth’s Wills, Probate and Administration Service for many years.

She is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Private Client Section of The Law Society, and Solicitors for the Elderly.

Fiona has spent all of her career at top ranked full service law firms, specialising in private client law.

Fiona has a strong reputation for combining technical expertise with an ability to build strong personal relationships with clients, particularly those who may be vulnerable or recently bereaved.

Fiona is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in International Probate and Succession allowing her to advise clients on estate planning with their overseas assets.  She is also a member of the Private Client Section of The Law Society, and Solicitors for the Elderly.

Richard Burnside



Richard Burnside has over 25 years’ experience in education and management. In his role as Practice Director, Richard is responsible for the business functions of The Burnside Partnership, including its finances, operations and people. Richard is also responsible for its business strategies.

Della Burnside



Della has over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer. She was a Partner in an international law firm before moving in-house 15 years ago, for the last 10 years until the end of 2017 as General Counsel & Company Secretary of McDonald’s Restaurants Limited.

Over the years, she has held a number of directorships, including as non-executive director of NHSBT and as Chair of McDonald’s UK Pensions Scheme. She has founded a number of businesses, and is currently a director of a technology start-up operating in the field of AI and machine learning.

Della is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of The Burnside Partnership and recruitment.



Edward has spent over 10 years as a private client lawyer in Oxfordshire following a career as a consultant in Asia, Ukraine and Russia.

Edward has particular expertise in dealing with difficult and sensitive family situations and has an excellent record of obtaining favourable outcomes in the Court of Protection, in particular helping with vulnerable adults. He also helps families with children who have developmental or learning difficulties plan for the future.

Edward sits on the Age UK Oxfordshire Health and Social Care Panel and is a Councillor at West Oxfordshire District Council.



Jessica has a reputation for providing advice in a clear and understandable way.

Client service is at the heart of what she does and Jessica prides herself on being able to provide first rate legal assistance in what can sometimes be sensitive or difficult times.



Jessamie’s expertise as a private client lawyer has been gained over a number of years working in established Oxford firms.  She enjoys building positive and lasting relationships with clients. Her professional and sympathetic attitude informs her work, enabling her to support clients when they need it the most. She has considerable experience and greatly values working with the elderly and vulnerable.



Charlotte is a Legal Executive with extensive experience of Private Client law. Having graduated from University, she is now completing her studies to become a Solicitor.



Now a non-practising solicitor, Jayne’s previous experience consists of 20 years in private practice, largely within Oxford, specialising in Wills, Probate, Taxation, Trust Law and related subjects. On leaving practice she spent 9 years tutoring trainee solicitors at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice (later incorporated into Oxford Brookes University). She currently assesses trainee Legal Executives’ work in her specialist subjects for the CILEX Law School. Jayne provides ad hoc training and support to our Legal staff.
