Nadine & Martin join us from BDO to head our new Marlow office
We are delighted to announce that we have been joined by Partner, Nadine Jayes and Trusts Director, Martin Pollock. They will be heading The Burnside Partnership's new office in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
Nadine and Martin join us from the London office of international accountancy firm, BDO.
Nadine was Director & Head of Trust & Estates at the global accountancy firm, Moore Stephens and Martin was Senior Manager, prior to its recent merger with BDO. Nadine & Martin both joined BDO but have left to join The Burnside Partnership. Nadine is a Solicitor and Chartered Tax Adviser and will join as a Partner. Martin will join as Trusts Director.
Since its inception in 2015, The Burnside Partnership has grown from three to eighteen staff. Its lawyers work from both London and Oxford and the firm has now increased its footprint with the opening of a new office in Marlow to coincide with Nadine and Martin’s arrival.
Co-founder and Partner, Anna Burnside says:
“We are delighted that Nadine and Martin have chosen to join us at this key phase of our growth. They bring with them extensive tax and trusts experience which will be greatly valued by our clients. We will continue to grow our tax practice and hire more exceptional lawyers across all of our specialisms. The opening of our Marlow office is a milestone for us and further openings will follow.
“Extending our presence to Marlow feels natural for us: it’s a vibrant town and an excellent location to grow our firm into the Thames Valley. In addition, my fellow Partner, Della (my identical twin) and I know Marlow well having grown up in the area around Henley-on-Thames and so we are delighted to become reacquainted with the area”.
“I’m thrilled to be joining The Burnside Partnership with the opportunity to establish and grow the Marlow office with Martin and contribute to the growth of the firm more broadly. I feel very excited about the opportunities that lie ahead of us. I have lived in Marlow since I was a child and I think it is the perfect place to expand The Burnside Partnership. It’s a great place to live as it’s very picturesque and is a lively town with lots of bars and restaurants and lovely shops. I’m sure it’ll be a great place to work too; it is such a busy, thriving town and is well placed geographically, within easy access to London, Oxford and Reading. I’m really looking forward to becoming acquainted with my home town in a professional capacity.
I’ve known Anna and Fiona professionally since they founded The Burnside Partnership and instructed them on behalf of my clients. I really enjoyed working with them, have been impressed with the quality of their work and the depth of their knowledge and experience. Everyone at the firm is such a pleasure to deal with too. I’m looking forward to growing the practice further, collaborating with Martin and the rest of the team.”
“I feel I’ve joined a unique environment of technical excellence, collaboration and good humour. I’m really excited about the opportunities ahead and working with Nadine and everyone at The Burnside Partnership. I look forward to helping to expand the firm’s trusts and administration, trust tax compliance and accounting and estate planning expertise.”
