Based in London, Kitty advises UK and international clients on inheritance tax and succession planning with a particular focus on the use of tax efficient Wills, Trusts and private corporate structures - FIC, OEIC and LLP.
Kitty's clients include landed estates (some Settled Land), families, business owners and entrepreneurs looking to preserve and manage assets, implement succession planning and generational change.
Kitty excels in creating disciplined and practical estate plans which are effective across multiple jurisdictions including the United States and Continental Europe. As part of the international side of her practice, Kitty also advises on residence and domicile, entry and exit planning. She has extensive practical experience with international probate and the practical implementation of estate plans after death.
Kitty also advises on the creation, registration and ongoing management of charities in the UK.
Kitty read Ancient History at Kings College London and completed the Conversion Course and LPC at BPP College. Before joining the law, Kitty worked at a boutique investment bank focused on sustainability and biotech advisory and financing.
Prior to the Burnside Partnership Kitty was at a specialist private client and tax firm in London.
